Happy Birthday Matilda Mae!

I decided to write my blog following the very tragic and shocking news on the passing of Matilda Mae at just 9 months old from SIDS. There is not a day that goes by when I do not think of Matilda and her family especially as Lottie is similar in age to Matilda.

Today should have been Matilda's first birthday, there is nothing I can write that will make things better for Jennie and her family, but I just want them to know they are in our thoughts and prayers today.

Memory candle at my wedding.

Last night I found the candle that was used on the font at my wedding. We had decided to put a candle on the font as a way of remembering people who should have been present but who had sadly passed away.

Today Ruby and I lit the candle and sang Happy Birthday to Matilda Mae in the sky.

We even found a star in the candle!

Happy Birthday to the brightest star in the sky, Matilda Mae. xx
